Today's drugstore options are endless aren't they? It's true, in many states paternity tests are available in the same isle you would find the pregnancy tests. I'm all for paternity testing, but the repercussions of the results may be detrimental. I agree every man has the right to know whether or not the child he's caring for is in fact his, but what if he takes one of these store bought tests and the results are negative? Pandemonium, is what I would imagine. After the water settles, you take an official clinical and court approved test (since the store bought tests are not approved by the court) only to find out that you are in fact the father. What then? All the anger, distrust, and stress was for nothing. I'm just saying the accuracy for over-the-counter tests should be scrutinized.
